Built Low, Built Right
Automotive trends move fast. What dominates social feeds and show fields today can disappear just as quickly. True style, however, operates on a different timeline. It survives cycles, outlasts hype, and earns respect through consistency. In the street truck world, few styles have proven more enduring than the clean, properly executed mini-truck.
While lifted builds and high-horsepower showpieces often steal the spotlight, the laid-out mini remains a cornerstone of custom truck culture. Its proportions, stance, and simplicity have built a loyal following that spans decades. For Bradley Krasucky of El Campo, Texas, preserving that legacy wasn’t optional—it was the mission.
A Mini with History
Bradley’s 1995 Toyota Tacoma isn’t new to the scene. Originally customized by West Coast Customs in the early 2000s, the truck already carried history before landing in his hands. But rather than simply maintaining it, Bradley set out to refine it—adding personal touches while staying true to authentic mini-truck roots.
The foundation of the build is a fully reworked chassis designed to achieve that unmistakable laid-out stance. The Tacoma rides on a custom back-half frame that supports a narrowed rearend and a hand-built 4-link suspension system. Firestone airbags control the rear articulation, allowing the truck to sit frame-flat when parked.
Up front, Michigan Metal Works upper and lower control arms—finished in custom paint—work alongside stock spindles and Slam Specialties airbags. The setup delivers both driveability and dramatic drop, reinforcing the traditional mini-truck formula: low, clean, and functional.
A 2½-inch body drop completes the silhouette, bringing the sheet metal down tight over the chassis for that essential ground-hugging profile.

Stance Is Everything
The Tacoma rolls on a staggered set of Boss 338 wheels finished in titanium gray with polished lips. Measuring 18×7 up front and 20×8 in the rear, the five-spoke design strikes a balance between modern and classic. Wrapped in low-profile rubber, the wheels tuck neatly under the fenders when aired out—exactly how a mini should.
Visible disc brakes add another layer of aggression behind the spokes, while the overall wheel-and-body combination defines the truck’s clean, tucked aesthetic.

Classic Toyota Power
Under the hood sits Toyota’s reliable 2.4L four-cylinder engine paired with a factory five-speed manual transmission. The fuel-injected powerplant remains largely true to its roots but benefits from a custom K&N intake and Flowmaster muffler, giving the Tacoma a sharper tone and improved breathing.
This build isn’t about dyno numbers—it’s about presence, stance, and authenticity. The drivetrain supports that philosophy perfectly.

Bodywork with Intention
Although the truck arrived already customized, Bradley and his team at BK Customz & Collision saw opportunities to refine and personalize it further.
The front bumper was adapted from a 4WD Toyota 4Runner and carefully sectioned to better match the Tacoma’s body lines. Out back, the rear bumper, door handles, gas filler, and tailgate were shaved smooth to create a seamless exterior. Fender lights sourced from a 4Runner were molded into the tailgate to serve as brake lights, reinforcing the truck’s ultra-clean finish.
A fully smoothed sheet-metal bed floor showcases the meticulous fabrication work underneath.
Once bodywork was complete, the Tacoma received a bold yet cohesive paint scheme. A blend of DuPont Scion Blue and DuPont Volvo Silver creates the base, accented by orange highlights laid down by Jackson’s Pinstriping. The graphics flow across the body with precision, tying the entire exterior together.
Interior That Matches the Exterior
Inside, the theme continues. The cabin features custom-embroidered tweed bucket seats and matching tweed-wrapped door panels, dash, headliner, and carpet. The paint and graphics extend onto the tops of the door panels and beneath the windows, visually connecting interior and exterior design.
Dash bezels are color-matched to the blue-and-silver scheme, while a Billet Specialties steering wheel and a classic hot-rod-style shifter introduce a subtle performance-inspired contrast.
A Pioneer head unit provides modern audio functionality without disrupting the truck’s period-correct vibe.

Keeping the Scene Alive
Bradley Krasucky’s Tacoma represents more than just a clean custom build. It stands as a reminder that mini-truck culture isn’t fading—it’s evolving while staying true to its roots.
By keeping the formula simple—laid out stance, clean bodywork, tasteful wheels, and cohesive design—this 1995 Toyota Tacoma reinforces why authentic minis continue to resonate in a world of ever-changing trends.
Low, intentional, and built with heart, it’s doing exactly what a true mini should: keeping mini-truckin’ alive.
